Month of Dad
This April marks the one-year anniversary of the passing of Katy Gunn's beloved Father, Fred S. Baker. To honor his memory and celebrate his life, Katy will send her father a daily message during April via social media (twitter, instagram, facebook, blog entry, etc.). This is a public 'series', creating a virtual space and ritual for sharing thoughts and memories related to the loved one that has passed. You are welcome to join by sharing your own memories and thoughts on loss, or if you knew Fred S. Baker - of Katy's Dad. The purpose for this series is to provide a ritual of sharing. At the bottom of each BLOG entry there is a place you can comment, or on Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media profile Katy puts up a post. April 30th marks the end of this series, wherein Katy will perform at the Mercury Lounge in NYC, and we ask that everyone who has participated to join us there to complete MONTH OF DAD.

THIS VIDEO was shot during Katy's first trip to Berlin (2012). During that time, her good friend, (and quite the accomplished film animator and visual artist) Mr. Christen Bach, was kind enough to shoot her doing an all-acoustic performance at Zozoville Gallery (Friedrichshain) with musicians Martin Rose and Benjamin Wellenbeck. You'll see plenty of art up on the wall during the video - we had a lot of fun doing this and checking out the gallery.
